Earlier this year I was exhibiting at Crufts for the first time and in an attempt to create a bit more interest in my stand I decided to make a few cut-outs of my characters to dot around the place.
I thought to myself that they looked quite cool but I wasn’t expecting everybody to go mad for them! Nearly everyone that visited my stand wanted to buy one! Had I just unknowingly stumbled across a new product range?
After Crufts I looked into getting them produced by several different suppliers and discovered that it’s very expensive doing it that way, so for now i’m making them by hand.
How I make them
I print the image onto heavyweight matte paper, then I spray mount the image to black foam board. Then I cut around the image using a stanley knife. Once the image is cut-out the last thing to add is the strut to the back to make it free-standing, and voila, one Sketch Your Pet cut-out!
If you run a dog grooming salon why not add a bit of humour to the place with a few Sketch Your Pet cut-outs! Link to product in shop
